We've had the same problem.
I have the people working on the answers communicating directly with
them to make sure we provide the data they think they are asking for.

Subject: THES World League Tables
Colleagues,
A quickie. I'm working on the data request from QS Networks for the THES
World League tables and wondered if anyone else had concerns about
either the vagueness of the requests or a lack of information about how
the measures are calculated, e.g. for the faculty/student score are QS
using headcounts or FTEs?
Previously they've used HESA, but it appears that the data is too
expensive and not available quick enough for them this year, and I have
a concern about the knock-on in terms of consistency of data used and
the overall robustness of the tables (as far as they ever can be,
anyway!).
Kind regards
Paul
