Planning and Development Office
Administrative Officer (two posts)
Circa £20,000
Supporting the Director of Planning and Development on a variety of
projects including labour market analysis, student number trends and wider
policy developments within HE, you will provide administrative support to
the Dean and School Executive of two Schools. You will manage the business
of the School Board and assist in the preparation of the School Strategic
Plan and monitor School targets.
The post also carries specific responsibility for the servicing of some
central University committees and examination panels as required.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with at least three years’
relevant administrative experience within the HE sector, it is essential
you are highly numerate and literate and have experience of report writing
and minute taking. Posts will require work at both Paisley and Ayr Campuses.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE
PLANNING ASSISTANT
Salary: circa £18,000 per annum
Planning & Development Office generates the framework for strategic
planning across the University and monitors the progress in achieving
strategic objectives and targets. You will contribute by providing support
to the Director of Planning and Development and 3 Planning Officers for a
range of projects, including the development of a programme of internal
reviews for the Ayr Campus.
Working as part of a team you will provide administrative support for 3
School Boards and be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of business,
taking minutes and generally taking forward the planning process with
relevant Deans. There will also be scope to prepare quantitative and
qualitative analyses to support this work.
It is essential that you have a Degree (Business or equivalent background),
or an HND plus 2 years administrative work experience within a numerate or
analytical role. You must be highly numerate and have excellent
communication, organisational and IT skills. Ideally you will be have an
aptitude for learning more specialised software packages and be able to
analyse information in order to prepare clear reports and/or projects.
This post is available for a fixed term period of two years.
