Hi Michelle
If you search back in the accessibuilt archives on jiscmail, a similar
question re guides etc to the outdoors was asked fairly recently.
For students, the inclusive mobility guide is good because its free, and
you can get upto 20 copies in any one request.
We have a learning package from our MSc course which looks at assessing
an external space, and what makes a good space, if you would like me to
send this through I would be happy to do so. It gets our students to
look at a chosen space, to assess this space as a whole across a range
of factors, and then to consider access and inclusion within this.

Subject: [ACCESSIBUILT] Countryside access references
Hi everyone,
I'm taking a group of students to the Peak District this year on a field
trip and am planning to organise a session on (in)accessibility in rural
areas. I was just wondering if anyone on this list has any knowledge of
access documents which we might be able to give the students as
background reading? The specific area that they will be working in is
Bakewell but we'd be grateful for info on either general countryside
access or on the Peak District itself. We're specifically looking at
them mapping physical access issues at this stage.
Any refs that can be suggested would be much appreciated, or if anyone
knows of a Derbyshire Access group and could let me have their details
I'd be really grateful.
Many thanks in advance,
Michelle
