Hi all
Some people may have missed that The DRC has produced guidance on the DDA
2005 and the DED for local authority departments responsible for planning,
design and management of the built environment and streets across Great
Britain.
The guidance covers what the DED means for these departments, the
requirement under the duty to produce a Disability Equality Scheme (DES),
and the importance of involving disabled people in this process.
The document is available to download at:
http://www.drc.org.uk/employers_and_service_provider/disability_equality_dut
y/planning_buildings_and_street.aspx
Note that the address above may have wrapped onto 2 lines in your e-mail and
may need rejoining in your web browser to get the full address.
Anyone got any comments on views on this guidance?
Regards
Marcus
