Merseyside Disability Federation's Tourism for All project - "08 for All" -
has funds available to pay 10 disabled people to come and visit
Merseyside. We can re-imburse expenses of up to £500 for a weekend trip
(or £250 for an overnight stay or day visit).
All the visitor has to do is fill in questionnaires that give us some
feedback on their trip - transport, accomodation, entertainment, tourism
venues visited. No previous experience of "mystery shopping" or access
audits is necessary - but experience like that won't disaqualify you.
We can pay expenses for travel companions or personal assistants as well -
within the overall budget amounts. To get a spread of different venues and
and avoid duplication we may have to direct you to a particular part of
Merseyside or away from a particular tourist attraction - but apart from
that, your itinerary is up to you.
Contact us now to book if you want to take part - or pass this information
on to disabled people who may be interested.
