We can supply an embossed name badge with Braille however the minimum
character height for the embossed text would have to be 15mm with an
increased inter character spacing of 25%. This may make the badge quite big
and there would also be an issue of how easy it would be for the user to
feel the information on a badge pinned to clothing.
Please feel free to give ma a call if you would like to discuss this in more
detail
Regards
Mark

Subject: embossed name badges
Dear All
Has anyone come across a manufacturer who can produce a name badge that is
embossed rather than engraved so that visually impaired people who cannot
read a name badge might well be able feel it, to give them confidence it is
a member of staff who is assisting them not a stranger! ( or it could be
just an embossed plaque with the company name on, maybe with braille as
well, as I guess it might be embarrassing for female staff who wear a lapel
badge!) Looked at several badge makers web sites and none so far seem to
mention that it is in their product range.
Kind Regards
Justin Ryan
