Thanks for circulating this proposal and having had a quick read through it
seems to be making things worse rather than better. The 10% ruling proposed
within the height bands as shown in the examples means that glass doors
could be left with blocks of manifestations (or just the door furniture) at
the sides and a large expanse of clear glass in the middle area. Surely this
is going to lead to people assuming that they are walking through a reduced
size opening rather than alerting them to the presence of the glass.
Is there a process of consultation on these proposals that we can express
our concerns? The link you gave goes straight to the document.
