Subject: Wheelchair Evacuation
I am an aspiring inventor with an idea I would like to follow up on. The
problem to be solved is to evacuate a person on a wheelchair from a tall
building. Is there a means to let the person remain in his wheelchair and
evacuate him via the stairs, say from ten floors up in a burning building?
If not what is the current procedure? Similarly how do you evacuate an
injured person who cannot move on his own under these circumstances? The
9-11 anniversary triggered this interest.
