Hi Sue,
At my Authority we don't use code locks. Instead we use magnetic door locks
which have a domed button on the internal side which is pressed to release
the magnetic field. On the external side we have proximity sensors whereby
the user waves a card in front of the sensor to release the magnetic lock.
Obviously it can be difficult for vision impaired users initially, but that
can be said for any device as locating it is and always will be the problem.
John.

Subject: [ACCESSIBUILT] Digital code locks
Is there such a thing as an accessible digital code lock or a suitable
alternative for internal doors?
There are lots on the market but the buttons are small and too many,
numbers are too small to read and you need two hands to open the door
using the code lock and the door handle.
