Interesting point - something to agree with your client when negotiating
such a commission!
Standard size boards are 1200 x 300mm or 2400 x 600mm - usually the
consultants provide them for the contractor to fix to a firm background
but sometimes the Employer pays for a fully co-ordinated sign written
one. RIBA/RICS/APS and the various engineering organisations have
standard ones members can buy into though increasingly many firms use
their own 'house designs'.
Site boards often require planning permission but this is normally for
the display as a whole not individual firms.

Subject: Access Consultant credits on building site boards
At major building projects - and happily there are a lot around in
Liverpool at the moment - there are often site boards giving details of
the Architect, the Quantity Surveyor and even the Acoustic Consultant.
However, I don't recall ever seeing one with the Access Consultant
proudly
displayed, even for those projects where developers are happy to tell me
there is such a consultant.
Has anyone experience of seeing such a "site credit"?
Does anyone know if there are any rules or standards that require (or
that
permit) certain contractors to be credited in this way, but not others
(and who sets them)?
Is it the case that Access Consultants are a shy and retiring bunch or
has
there been a long and unsuccessful battle that I'm not aware of to get
their names in front of the public like this?
