Subject: Tactile Corduroyd at Ramp tops
Hi,
Do we use tactile warning? We are resurfacing a ramp at a small but well used park. There has been so much changing of minds over what should be correct good practice. Some saying tactile surfaces should be placed at the top of a ramp only and some saying both the top and bottom landings. Recently, I have had wheelchair users indicating that they find it difficult to cross tactile warning tiles and they should only be used at the upper approach to steps. The good practice guidance I am looking at does not specify any tactile warning for a ramp.
John
