Dear all,
As long-time member of WIGS part-time contingent, I
wondered if it would be useful to share with them that Warwick have
created a post for me as Teaching Fellow, which is fractional (two days
in 34/52 weeks) but it is paid on a proper scale, mit
Aufstiegsmoeglichkeiten, for all twelve months (!!), with pension
contribution from the university, until retirement...
Obviously such things depend on part-timer and department being happy
about a long engagement, but I though it could be a useful precedent to
cite for other part-time tutors wanting to look at the terms of their
contract - ie, such a thing exists! I'm not sure how widespread this
sort of contract is at the moment, but am sure it should be more common.
Applause and thanks to Erica Carter and Warwick for making it happen...
Susan
