Position Announcement:
Development and Application of Methods in Diffusion Tensor
Imaging (DTI) for Mapping of Fiber Tracks in Brain
A PhD-student position is available in the Section Experimental MR of
the CNS, Dept. of Neuroradiology, University Hospital Tübingen (Prof.
Dr. med. Dipl.-Biol. W. Grodd) from now.
The focus of the position is on improving and developing new methods in
measurement and analysis of MR diffusion imaging for the mapping of
fiber tracks in the human brain. This includes the usage of high angular
resolution DTI and the development of tracking algorithms for using this
additional information. ROI information from fMRI experiments should be
incorporated into the tracking program.
Candidates should be natural scientists (physics, computer science,
neuroscience) with skills in programming (Matlab, C) and experiences
with MR techniques.
Salary will be based on qualifications according to BAT IIa/2.
