Hi Peter,
Don't use Dicom when working with Philips scanner, it's a pain in the
behind.We also have Philips Achieva scanners.
I'd suggest getting raw PAR/REC files, and convert them to Analyze or
Nifti using either our tool (http://r2agui.sourceforge.net, supports
newest Philips Release; NOTE: produces neurological data, switch off L/R
flipping in spm2 when using our tool), or MRICRO.
