dear spm'ers.
i need advice about the right procedure to compare two groups in a block
design with a single event.
in the first level analysis i analyzed my 4 contrasts for each subject
separately.
in the second level analysis i correlated (for both groups and every
contrast separately) the pain ratings of the participants of the group with
their first level con files (simple regression in basic models).
i found different activation patterns in both groups.
now i would like to analyze the differences between both groups in the
brain activity which correlates with the covariate (pain).
what is the correct procedure? can i use the second level con-files of each
group (and each contrast) in a 2 sample t-test or do i have to performe
another procedure.
it would be thankful if someone can give me advice, which an ordinary (and
stupid) physician without major mathematical knowledge can understand.
thanks a lot
