I need a little more info to try to narrow down the problem. What was
the latest set of updates you installed for SPM5? Is your data 3D or
4D? Which version of MATLAB?
If you email the error message from the DICOM conversion, then I may be
able to figure out the cause of this one too.
Best regards,
-John

Subject: [SPM] SPM5 batch: Error using ==> nifti.subsasgn
Dear SPMers,
trying to preprocess fMRI-data with SPM5-batchmode I got following error
message:
Running "Realign: Estimate & Reslice"
Error running job:
Error using ==> nifti.subsasgn
Reference to non-existent field ".".
--------------------------
Done.
DICOM-data were converted with MRIConvert because I got an analog error
message as I tried to convert DICOM data to NIfTI-format via import
DICOM
in SPM5.
I would appreciate any advices.
Thanks,
Julia
