Functional NeuroImaging Research Assistant

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant in functional
neuroimaging at the Centre for Functional NeuroImaging Studies (CFIS) at
Edinburgh University. The successful application will work with the
Director of the Centre, Dr. David McGonigle, to acquire and analyse fMRI
data from the 1.5T GE MR scanner (recently upgraded to the HDx platform)
based at the SFC Centre for Brain Imaging, Western General Hospital. The
centre is used by a number of research groups from both within and outside
the University, including researchers from the departments of Psychology,
Psychiatry and the School of Informatics. The post is ideal for an
enthusiastic postgraduate who wishes to gain experience across a wide range
of applications of fMRI.
Candidates should have a BA, BSc or equivalent qualification in cognitive
psychology, neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, computer science, or
other related discipline. Experience in programming (Matlab/Java/C++) is
desirable but not essential.
The position will be initially available for one year, and will be funded
in the UE06 grade £22,111 - £25,633. Informal enquiries should be directed
