Postdoctoral Research Assistant: Advanced structural and functional
magnetic resonance imaging of injury-related brain plasticity
Oxford University Centre for Functional MRI of the Brain (FMRIB)
Grade 7: Salary £25,633 – 31,525 p.a
The Centre for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Brain
seeks a postdoctoral research assistant to develop research (with
Prof. P.M. Matthews and Dr. H. Johansen-Berg) using advanced
structural (surface- and connectivity-based cortical parcellation,
diffusion tractography) and functional magnetic resonance (addressing
particularly connectivity measures) for better understanding
plasticity after brain injury from stroke or multiple sclerosis. The
post is funded by the MRC and internal laboratory funds. The ideal
candidate should have a doctorate in a relevant discipline with
strong quantitative analytical abilities. An excellent academic track
record and research experience in neuroimaging or image analysis is
essential. Employment could begin from January 2007 for a period of 2
years. For an outline of the lab's research interests and links to
further information see http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/.
