DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AND HEALTH
The teaching and research at the Department of Psychology and Health
focuses on the influence of psycho-social factors on the health of
individuals. The Department encompasses the disciplines of Clinical Health
Psychology, Clinical Child and Childhood Psychology, Cognitive
Neuroscience, and Medical Psychology.

TITEL PROJECT
Functional neuroanatomy of emotional body language
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for people with a passion for neuroscience and a specific
interest in visual and emotional processing, visual attention and search,
and eye-movements, and who are eager to apply state-of-the-art imaging
technologies to answer the above questions. Experience in neuro-imaging and
psychophysics, programming skills (in particular Matlab), good oral and
writing skills, are all considered important. The project is embedded in
and offers numerous possibilities for scientific interactions with other
groups throughout Europe and the US. Salaries and benefits are according to
Dutch standards and commensurate on experience. PhD positions are for four
years, with an evaluation after the first year.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Tilburg University is among the top of the Dutch employers and has an
excellent policy concerning terms of employment. The job is initially for
one year, but the purpose is to extend the contract with three years,
depending on the performance in the first year. The gross salary starts
with € 1933,- (full-time) per month in the first year, up to € 2472,- in
the last year.
