Dear SPMers,
I need to conduct fMRI random effects statistical analyses using SPM2
on a sample of about 40 patients which we plan to compare with 25
healthy controls, ie, data from 65 subjects will be involved in the
analyses. For each subject, there is one run of 330 brain volumes -
with 32 slices per volume. The size of each run is 85 Mo (.rec format)
as saved on a CD-ROM. The design is a blocked design and both
subtractive and correlational analyses (using a physiological variable
as a regressor) are planned. Two persons will be performing the analyses.
Which kind of computer is best appropriate for this analysis,
considering both the need for reasonable speed and processing power
and the need for a good cost/effectiveness ratio? Is it 2 standalone
personal computers (and then which minimum requirements should they
meet?) or is it a server?
Thank you very much for your kind help,
Serge Stoleru
