Yes, I thought it was smart, too, before I found out it does not work.

Yep: sum(sum(sum(img))) = 0. That, however, was from a template image
that I used for testing purposes. When I generate a random noise dataset
and de-normalize that, I do get some very bizzar looking results in the
de-normalized image, so something works, but not quite right yet (see
attached). There does seem to be some "moving off the map" involved,
then as I think I only de-normalize some stretched edges.

Yes, but the new pin.VG should match them, and the fields are all there,
and the dimension and voxel size are as desired (see attached)... I must
admit I am rather puzzled, but then again, I very oftenly am...
