MRI Physicist, Cognitive Neuroscience Imaging, Geneva University Medical
Center (Switzerland)*
We are seeking an MR physicist (post-doc or senior level) with technical
training and extensive experience in magnetic resonance imaging,
including but not limited to strong expertise in fMRI. Knowledge in
diffusion and/or other imaging modalities is also desirable. The
successful candidate will help set up and manage a new 3T facility
dedicated to neuroscience research and particularly cognitive brain
imaging. Responsibilities will include oversight of technical operations
and maintenance, support staff for research activities and student
training, data management, as well as pulse sequence programming and
development. There will be opportunities for close collaborations with
other research groups in basic and clinical neuroscience, cognitive
psychology, EEG, or computer sciences, including several brain mapping
groups within the University Medical School (see

Center for Affective Sciences, and the new Interdisciplinary Center for
Neuroscience at Geneva University.
The successful candidate is also expected to have close interactions
with imaging facilities run at the University Hospital, and the Center
of Bio-Medical Imaging (established between Geneva, Lausanne, and EPFL)
where high-field MRI research is developed (including human 7T).
Salary/rank will be commensurate with experience. Starting date is
flexible (earliest October 1st 2006). Geneva offers a thriving
