You simply didn't have enough memory to carry out the computation. To
get around this problem, you can try slice-by-slice mode, rather than
the volumetric mode for calculation. You can specify this by simply
answering "No" to "Work volumetrically?".
Now, a more fundamental question in this situation is, should you be
using SnPM with n=144 subjects? With such large degrees of freedom, you
should be able to get decent results from SPM, with much less
computation. If I were in this situation, I would try SPM.
