Applications are invited for the position of MRI Physicist at the
Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience Institute (BCNI,
http://research.psychol.cam.ac.uk/~bcni/), University of Cambridge.
This post, which may be awarded Senior Research Associate (to £39,935)
status, subject to approval by the Clinical School, Faculty Board, is to
support members of the BCNI in studies with functional neuroimaging and
other brain imaging techniques on two Siemens 3T machines installed at the
Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre and Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit.
Primary duties are to maintaining quality and advancing between-site
coordination and availability of sequences on the two scanners. The
successful candidate would also be expected to develop their own programme
of research on these machines and a 7T small-bore machine in the
Department of Veterinary Medicine.
Candidates should have experience with MRI as well as a proven record of
research, including first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
They should be able to demonstrate effective team working and leadership.
An interest in neuroscience would be an advantage.
