Job Announcement
Post-Doc position (3 years) and two Ph.D. positions (4 years) with a focus
on functional neuroimaging (FMRI) at the department of Radiology of the
Leiden University Medical Centre and the Leiden Institute for Brain and
Cognition (LIBC).
The LIBC is an interfaculty centre for interdisciplinary research on brain
and cognition (EEG, MRI, FMRI), supported by the Leiden University Medical
Centre and the Faculties of Arts, Mathematics & Natural Sciences, and Social
& Behavioural Sciences of Leiden University. Currently two MR systems are
available for FMRI (1.5T and 3T Philips). Early 2007 a whole body 7T MR
system will be operational.
Within this multidisciplinary environment, there are three new positions
open. Advanced FMRI techniques will be applied to study brain diseases.
Keywords are resting state FMRI, clinical FMRI (neurodegeneration, aging),
pharmacologic FMRI, brain connectivity, FMRI analyses.
We are looking for one post-doc and two PhD students with an interest in
cognitive neuroscience and a background in informatics, physics,
neuroscience, psychology, medicine or engineering.

What we offer
Ph.D. position: full-time, for a term of 4 years. Maximum salary:
€ 2429 gross per month or €3559, depending on your experience and
education.
Post-doc position: full-time, for a term of 3 years. Maximum salary: € 4151
gross per month depending on your experience and education (Collective
Labour Agreement for university hospitals).
