Hello kathrin and ulf,
generally we use the option multiple conditions in spm5 to define the
condition vectors: names, onsets and durations. these vectors have to be
stored as .mat files first.
Our way to generate the cond.mat files for many probands is like this:
1. We extract the onsets for each condition from the stimuli log files to
onsets.txt files. For Presentation .log files you can use our EasyOnsetsXP
tool. (to determine a condition, each condition must only have one code)
2. We write a file cond_names.txt with the name for each condition into a
single line.
3. We generate a matlab batch file with the matlab orders to generate the
.mat files. To do so, you can use our excel file LoadOnsets.xls. This file
generates the Matlab batch file LoadOnsets.m
4. we run the LoadOnsets.m from Matlab. Now all the onsets are stored in
.mat files. But you still have to select the .mat file in SPM5, when you
specify your model.
hope this helps
