Post-doctoral fellowship in Columbia University's Functional MRI Research Center
A postdoctoral position is available starting this summer/fall (exact
date negotiable) in the Functional MRI Research Center at Columbia
University in New York. The appointment will initially be for 2 years
but could possibly be extended. The successful applicant would
complement current research strengths of the fMRI Research Center,
which is a highly collaborative research environment with major
interests in the neural mechanisms of cognitive control, decision
making, vision, language, and clinical applications. The laboratory
contains facilities for fMRI, EEG, EEG-fMRI, and TMS, as well as
acquisition of psychophysiological markers including heart and
respiration rates, skin conductance, and eye movements inside the
scanner (see http://fmri.org/index.html). We are particularly
interested in an independent researcher with an interest in neural
mechanisms of selective attention/cognitive control, but strong
applicants with other interests will also be considered. A solid
background in experimental design with respect to fMRI applications is
highly desirable, as is experience in psychophysics, Matlab or
Presentation programming, and fMRI data analysis with SPM or FSL. The
successful applicant is also expected to foster collaborative research
efforts with faculty and students of the Department of Psychology.
To apply, please e-mail a CV, cover-letter, reprints, and contact
details of 3 potential referees to Elisa Edmondson
