We wrote a paper a few years ago [Lahaye01, in NeuroImage]
on the estimation of functional connectivity throughout the brain,
focusing on the nature of the information shared by signals originating
from different regions.
If I remember correctly, we did not find globally significant differences
between functional connectivity values estimated with and without
slice timing correction, on the global set of all possible links between
a set of parcels covering grey matter.
