Dear SPMer:
There is a question about the Slice timing and connectivity analysis.
In the manual of spm5, we know that the effect of Slice Timing is " The correction is necessary to make the data on each slice correspond to the same point in time" . So it looks like that Slice timing will play a important role in the connectivity analysis, because the correlation of time series in different part of the cortex will feebleness if we do not sample the BOLD signal in the same time point.
But in so many articles of connectivity analysis, the Slice timing is seldom mentioned, exspecially, in DCM method (some articles use Slice timing but others not ). And the WICA do not use the Slice timing also.
My question is that if we do not use the Slice timing, will our result be invalid?
