Dear Fabio,
We solved the annoying permission problem by:
1) in smbpasswd file,
change 'root' ==> 'xxx' , your Linux user name
2) in smb.conf file,
add/edit
valid users = xxx
to all needed (exported) directory sections
Then from MS Windows, search for the Linux server:
username: xxx
password: your original Samba root password.
