I think what you want here is to see areas where both A AND B have
activated. This requires the conjunction null test. If you are
happy to also see areas where A alone has activated, or B alone has
activated, you can do the the global null test.

and essentially the same answer: if you are content to see areas where
[A and B but not C] have activated, or [A and C but not B] or [B and
C but not A], then the intermediate would be OK.
