SPMers,
I have a need to spatially normalize/coregister the white matter of DTI FA images across brains. The difficulty I have is that in the patient population I'm using (TBI) there is variable enlargement of ventricles caused by parenchymal loss. I'd like to have the major WM bundles overlapping--even for the most enlarged ventricles--so I can do some group analysis. I've tried using the weighting image option but keep getting error messages such as 'Source and its weighting image must have same orientation' or 'Reference images must all have the same orientation'. Not sure what this error refers to. If I could normalize the segmented white matter of a given patient to a segmented white matter image (a priori WM mask)image of the template, this would be sufficient. However, when I try this I get the 'Reference images must all have the same orientation'.
Can anyone help?
Thanks very much,
Randy Benson
