PhD Student Position available
A position for a PhD student is available at the Center for Neurocognitive
Research at the University of Salzburg, Austria, starting approximately on
1.3.2006. The position will be in the 2-3 years project „Neuronal
dysfunctions in dyslexia“, funded by the Austrian Science Funds. Salary will
be according to the Austrian Science Funds salary for doctoral students
(http://www.fwf.ac.at/de/projects/personalkostensaetze_2005.html). The
position will include planning, conducting and analysing fMRI experiments
with dyslexic children and adults, as well as recruiting subjects and and
attending to dyslexic children and their parents. The applicant has the
possibility to obtain a PhD degree in this position.
Requirements: Diploma (M.S.) in psychology, experience in fMRI research and
data analysis (especially SPM), interest in cognitive neuroscience, interest
in research on language, reading and dyslexic, proficient in german language
skills. The ideal candidate should also have experience in dealing with
children as research participants.
