my tongue-in-cheek point was to hint at VERY excited subjects - but then
I figured it was a lame joke, hence the off-list reply. I guess I should
learn to watch my mouth more closely ;)
BTW, Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, one of 3 German physicists bearing that name
(the others pioneered quantum mechanics and ultrasound), did confirm
Maxwells theory of light, and his contribution to science was honored in
1933 by naming the SI-unit of frequency in his name. It is of course 1/s.
