Dear all,
I am happy to announce version 2 (beta) of the SPM toolbox MASCOI!
Please see the screenshots and instructions at: http://homepages.uni-
tuebingen.de/matthias.reimold/mascoi/
MASCOI was originally written to create "masked contrast images" that
can be used instead of thresholded t-maps for presentation. They can
be especially helpful if image data were considerably smoothed and t-
peaks seem to be displaced. Furthermore, depending on the statistical
model, they might give a more direct sense of the underlying data due
to a physiologically meaningful colorscale (e.g. colorcode = Delta
rCBF).
An introduction to the concept of masked contrast images is given at
http://homepages.uni-tuebingen.de/matthias.reimold/mascoi/description/
New in version 2:
- IMAGE VIEWER: while version 1 was designed for use with an external
viewer, version 2 shows a side-by-side comparison (t-maps versus
contrast) of transversal and coronal sections, including an
anatomical background image.
- ATLAS STATISTICS: MASCOI reads atlas labels (a file with TT labels
is provided) and prints statistics for each cluster
- MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION: MASCOI allows you to conveniently create
bitmaps for your figures.
and well, version 2 is the first version that is compatible with
microsoft windows. Obviously none of my beta-testers had run MASCOI
on windows and was brave enough to complain...
Any feedback (positive as well as bug reports) is welcome!
Yours
