Dear SPMers,
specifying my request from may 9th, i´m interested in the meaning of the
adjusted data (y) as written out after plotting contrast estimates in 2nd
level analysis in spm5.
As far as i know these y-data are adjusted for filtering and mean session
effect and variance explained by effects of no interest is removed.
Dependent on the effects declared as being of interest the removed
variance varies and so do the data.
But what if i plot contrast estimates in 2nd level analysis? The y-data
remain the same no matter which effects are chosen as being of interest
and so my question is: For what kind of confounds are these data adjusted?
And still: Is it a reasonable procedure to extract these y data for the
voxel of interest and use them for correlation analyses with other
psychophysiological variables?
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Julia
