Hello fellow SPMers,
I am trying to find a script to convert Philips PAR/REC format to NIfTI. I realize there are methods to convert to Analyze, but I would like to be able to utilize the extra information the NIfTI header contains. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
We have successfully converted Philips DICOMS to NIfTI using SPM5's dicom import, but with large fMRI tasks, working with thousands of DICOMs becomes cumbersome and slow to transfer over networks. It is even very slow to transfer these large data sets via DICOM to the local harddisk. It has also proved a problem for any DICOM servers we have tried.
Speaking of which, if anyone has succesfully implemented a DICOM server for large fMRI data sets in addition to the normal structural data sets for a Philips 3T Achieva release 1.5, any suggestions you can provide would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
