The short answer is if your using SPM2 code is to look
at the functions:
spm_get
spm_vol
spm_sample_vol
But better yet, if your interested in programming
examples, I think you would really enjoy looking at
some of the "Johns Gems".

of some of the SPM functions. There are pages for SPM99, Spm2, and SPM5.
