At the University of Regensburg, Departments of Psychology and Neurobiology, there is a new opening for an Assistant Professor, who should contribute to the English-language Master's of Science study programme in *Experimental and Clinical Neurosciences" starting June 2006 (max. duration 5 years). The pay scale follows the German Civil Service Regulations (A13) as a university employee.
Task areas:
* Scientific and education supervision of students of the M.Sc Neurosciences programme in the form of laboratory internships, seminars and tutorials in the area of cognitive neuroscience and/or sensory systems.
* Research activities as part of on-going projects using functional MRI and diffusion-tensor imaging including post-processing.
* Supervision of graduate students of Cognitive Psychology in the area of neuro-imaging
A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
Prerequisites are: PhD-degree in Neurobiology, Physics or Experimental Psychology with at least 2-years of research and/or teaching experience. Expertise in MRI, fMRI, or DTI is required. MatLab and programming skills would be beneficial. Adequate scantime on 3T and 1.5 T Siemens scanners will be provided.
