The top 5 tools for Talairach/MNI-coordinate-based neuroimaging in our
"Brede Database" are: SPM, AIR, AFNI, "In-house" and Analyze, see:
http://hendrix.imm.dtu.dk/services/jerne/brede/index_bib_stat.html
The different versions of SPM are by far the most used. The Brede Database
spans fMRI, PET, SPECT, and MRI studies from the beginning of the nineties
and there are not many new studies, so FSL, SPM2, SPM5 and BrainVoyager
are not recorded so frequently as I would expect if newer papers were
examined.
A longer list (top 28) of analysis software is available as Figure 1 in
our "fMRI Neuroinformatics" paper:
http://www2.imm.dtu.dk/~fn/ps/Nielsen2005fMRI.pdf
This paper also describes/compares the different software.
Sincerely
Finn
