A doctoral and postdoctoral position is available at the Berlin
NeuroImaging Center, Berlin, Germany: Topics: Language development,
combination of imaging techniques
The focus of research is on language development and acquisition. More
specifically, we are interested in cerebral representation of language in
infants and children. We employ a combination of electrophysiological and
functional neuroimaging methods (EEG, NIRS) to characterize the neural
correlates of specific language functions during their respective
development. Our interdisciplinary team is part of an imaging group within
the field of cognitive neurosciences and extends into a group working on
the physiological basis of imaging techniques.
The applicant should have a Diploma, Master, Bachelor, or PhD in a field
related to cognitive neuroscience (e.g. neuroscience, psychology, medicine,
linguistics) or in the field of engineering, physics, or informatics. A
background in cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging methods in language
research, experience in experimental design, computer programming, data
analysis, and statistical methods (e.g. Matlab) are of large value for any
applicant. The position is for two to three years and is immediately
available. Salary will be according to BAT.
Please send CV, statement of research interests, and names and addresses of
three scientists who could provide additional letters of recommendation as
