2. OII News

The OII continues to contribute to international debate on Internet
Governance, with a recent public discussion including contributions from
Markus Kummer (Executive Coordinator, Secretariat of the UN Working Group on
Internet Governance) and the Economist's Kenneth Cukier. Remarks by Kenneth

OII Professor of Internet Governance and Regulation, Jonathan Zittrain will
speak at 'The Road to Athens', a Nominet-organised event on the 9th October,

3. New Positions

The OII is looking for a full-time Survey Research Officer with training in
one or more of the social sciences and specialised experience and skill in
survey research and data analysis in an academic, government or business
setting. The Officer will work primarily on the conduct and analysis of the
Oxford Internet Surveys (OxIS). Closing date: 6th November.
