Peter,
The little person on the right of the main window seems to be somewhat
misleading... Alasdair what is he for?
What you do is open a new file, import your dxf plan, set a grid and run
visibility graph analysis. Then you have two options:
1. under the tools menu, run agent analysis - this opens a dialogue that
allows you to set the various agent parameters - number of iterations, field
of view etc. the defaults in the dialogue are sensible. This gives a map
back coloured up by the number of agents that have passed over each grid
square.
2. go to the window menu - 3D view and in the top left of that window is
another little person, click here and then click in the open space of the
plan in the 3d view - you set off little walking people who wander around
the plan. There are buttons to let the individuals leave trails or to colour
up the grid squares as before. There are other buttons to allow you to
swivel the plan around or set it rotating.
Make sure that your system have a boundary otherwise the little people
escape...
