OPERATIONAL ANALYST – KTP Associate

This is an excellent opportunity to design and develop state of the art
resource passenger scheduling software for a leading software house. As a
KTP Associate you will be provided with academic and industrial supervision,
training, personal and professional development and the opportunity to
enroll on a higher degree.
Logical Transport is the UK's leading supplier of enterprise wide transport
and mobile workforce management solutions for local authorities and major
government contractors. At the heart of the success of LT's product offering
is a range of software tools designed to optimise complex real-time
scheduling issues. The primary objective of the KTP project is to develop
more efficient methodologies to further strengthen LT’s product offering. LT
is expanding quickly, and seeking entry into potentially lucrative export
markets. The associate will play a vital role in facilitating this expansion.
The project will require you to develop expertise in optimization
methodologies, design algorithms for solving challenging problems, implement
and evaluate algorithms, meet with customers, support sales and marketing,
and manage the project.
You should have a good honours degree in a quantitative discipline, ideally
in mathematics, operational research or management science, together with
computer programming skills. In addition you should have good written and
oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with staff and
customers. You should have an aptitude for managing time and prioritising
tasks, and you should be highly motivated and committed to achieving the
project goals.
