Thanks, Roger, for the alert on that.
So the beta version has now become the "official" version. Only took a
couple of months compared with the years (or never) it takes Google to
move some of its products out of beta!
Also worth noting that it is the only one of the major search engines to
offer wildcards at the end of a word and in the middle, although the
latter is a bit cumbersome. For example /psych.*ist/ to match
psychiatrist, psychologist, psychoanalyst etc. (I have a horrible
feeling that the forward slashes at the start and end of psych.*ist will
be interpreted by many mail readers as italics).
