MDSGEO'06: 1st International Workshop on
Modern Decision Support in Geographical Domains: Models, Methods, and Tools
http://www.dbnet.ece.ntua.gr/~stefanak/mdsgeo06/
September, 2-3, 2006 - Thessaloniki, Greece
to be held in conjunction with the 10th East-European Conference on Advances
in Databases and Information Systems ADBIS'2006
http://delab.csd.auth.gr/adbis2006/
Scope
---------
Geographic (or Spatial) Decision Support is a mature field of research.
However,
the rapid developments in Information Technology (IT) and Geographic
Information
(GI) Science open new challenging directions of research. These include
exploratory
data analysis, geospatial web, real-time risk management, and location-based
services, to name just a few. The scope of this workshop is to examine and
elaborate
the new research directions involved in Modern Geographic Decision Support;
and
to allow researchers and practitioners in the area of Geographic Decision
Support
present their work, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration among
multi-disciplinary
groups.
