Hi Torsten, from what you wrote it's hard to tell what is wrong with
your images after conversion. There should be no problem in
converting the data to 16SI - as long as you choose the right scaling
factor to type in when you run tbss_1_preproc. Have a look at the
relevant section near the start of the TBSS manual http://
www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/tbss/#1 in particular the part where it
describes how to use avwstats to work out this scaling.
Alternatively, it may be that you're viewing the converted files in
FSLView and your only problem is making sure that the display
intensity range is set correctly?
