RedHat 9
Linux 2.4.20-31.9smp #1 SMP i686 i386 GNU/Linux
However, I must first apologize to some degree because I have since tested
this sitting directly at the Linux server and found switching between scans
to be relatively speedy. It appears that the delays only amplify to an
annoying level when I start to view fslview over an Exceed Xwindows
connection (from a PC in the same building). What does still puzzle me a bit
is why it is so much slower than it was when using Xwindows to view the old
version of fslview. The window doesn't seem that much more complicated to
draw than the old one, and the loading/unloading of the actual data occurs on
the Linux server.
thanks,
Ed
