Computational Mechanics in the UK: 2007
Glasgow: 2nd & 3rd April 2007

The 2007 annual meeting of the UK branch of the 
Association of Computational Mechanics in 
Engineering will be held from 2nd-3rd April at 
Glasgow. Papers may be presented on all aspects 
of Computational Mechanics including: numerical 
methods, finite and boundary element methods, 
meshless methods, mesh and grid generation, 
materials modelling, etc. Domains of application 
include but are not restricted to: aerospace, 
aeronautical, mechanical, civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering.

The registration fee which includes, the 
conference dinner together with lunch and coffee 
breaks on both days is £199. The registration fee 
is reduced for postgraduate students to £99. The 
venue for the conference dinner on the evening of 
the 2nd April will be the Lighthouse Building 
(www.thelighthouse.co.uk). The lighthouse, 
Scotland's award-winning Centre for Architecture, 
Design and the City, housed in Mackintosh's 
Glasgow Herald newspaper building, contains the 
Mackintosh Interpretation Centre and Tower with 
stunning city views. Participants will have an 
opportunity to visit the Charles Rennie 
Mackintosh Room (The Mach Room) on the evening of the meeting dinner.

A CD Rom of papers presented at the meeting with 
a book of short summaries will be published. 
Authors of proposed papers should send a brief 
abstract to Professor Barry Topping by email:

2006. Please ensure that you include your full 
postal address, telephone, fax and email with your abstract submission.
