Hi,
Is it possible to specify a mixture of one normal and
one uniform distribution in WINBUGS? The data is
generated by these two type of sources, and I want to
use a mixture model to identify the hidden indicator
of which source corresponds to which point.
Actually, I think if I use a very flat Normal to
approximate the uniform distribution, the result
should still be good. But I don't know how to force a
Normal to be very flat, except by setting its prior
distribution to have low precision. Is there a more
direct way to force a Normal to be very flat?
Thanks!
